Depression Treatment

Depression can strike us all at times. We feel down, low energy, barely even want to get out of bed. We withdraw from others and lose interest in our goals and hobbies. Sometimes these feelings come and don’t go away, or they may be so severe we have a hard time even functioning. If this is happening for you, it may be time to find professional help.

In working with depression we help you gain an understanding of the cycle of depression. Depression tends to continue itself, it decreases our energy and joy which makes us do and enjoy things we like less, which further decreases our energy and joy. This can be a vicious cycle which can lead to feelings of hopelessness. It is possible to break this cycle. We do so by breaking things down to unwind the cycle a small bit at a time. This could be by reintroducing habits or by changing thought patterns. This helps us slow down the progression of depression and teach us skills to work through it which build up until we feel confident in being able to break free from the cycle.
